Amber Austin joined Clutch Consulting as an Associate Director of System Transformation in supported by eight years of combined experience in mental health, corrections, international development, and change management. Leveraging her diverse experiences, Amber facilitates her work through the understanding of individual conditions, community context, policy implications, and systemic realities.

As a Youth and Family Development Coordinator in the Dominican Republic, Amber refined her skills in restructuring organizational strategies to increase access to services. In this role, she facilitated the establishment of new partnerships between the local child welfare agency, the office of Public Health, the District of Education, and community leaders to execute ongoing campaigns for healthy parenting, and sexual and mental health. Through her work in Atlanta, she facilitated the planning and implementation of system-wide developments to Employment and Income, and Prevention and Diversion.

Additionally, her involvement in the Youth and Family system refinements resulted in valuable process improvements, increased engagement among community partners, and increased youth-dedicated housing inventory by way of data informed advocacy. As a result of their efforts, Chicago now has a more streamlined and efficient Continuum of Care. They provided critical technical assistance to All Chicago and other key system partners…This increased capacity has helped us become more proactive and bring new resources into our system.
