We sat down to brunch and waited over 10 minutes before sidewinder came back to take a drink order. I was really looking forward to a mimosa and no one was there to take an order. Food was pretty good The restaurant wasnt at capacity and i would say service was shoddy Can't say I'd recommend this place. We have visited the Grille for the Mother's Day brunch for the past five years or so.
It is certainly now a family tradition. Our initial visit years ago was for dinner. The noise level in the evening was more quiet, in line with a special occasion or romantic dinner. It is our understanding that a major renovation is coming. Hopefully, it will not change the food quality or service and simply expand the wonderful ambiance. We went for Mother's Day buffet. It was a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.
The wood floors and sculptures were beautiful! We came for the brunch buffet. It did have a nice variety of food all of which was very good. The menu for their Mother's Day Brunch said it had an omelet bar which it did not have, but when I asked they were willing to make an omelet in the back. Everyone enjoyed their food. We had tip automatically added to our bill and I don't know for sure if that was the result of being a party of 6 or if that is normal operating procedures.
The free valet parking was a great bargain. Made it very easy and less stressful! Overall, we were disappointed. Portions were smaller than expected - especially for the "share" items. One of the desserts we ordered was totally inaccurate offered as a coconut tart but it was lime or lemon with sprinkles of coconut. When we questioned it, our server sent a manager out to explain!
There really was no good explanation and no offer was made to replace or adjust for the dessert inaccuracy. This was not our first visit to Grille, but it will probably be our last! It was a small menu that was not thoughtfully designed and with a server who obviously did not want to be a server. I will NOT be back. Salad and soup for lunch was extremely over priced. Food well-prepared. They were understaffed.
They had to scramble to find a wine list. Overall experience disappointing. Decided on Easter brunch at and we weren't disappointed. Friendly, professional service, great quality food without buffet fillers. Nice omelet station, carving station with ham, beef. Good selection of charcuterie items meats , cheeses, pickled veggies, bread etc Fruit and sweets were represented very well and mimosas, Bloody Mary's juices of all kinds Check out on West End, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
First time there. Was not the best meal I ever had, but not nearly the worst, either. I will certainly give you another crack at me. Perhaps a Sunday Brunch. We went for Easter buffet brunch. Small selection of options, no effort made to keep carved buffet brunch meats warm so it was cold, consistently ran out of food, only one chef preparing omelettes so there was always a line.
Long wait for drink refills. We will not be back. I read about this restaurant in the Nashville Magazine and decided to take my family there for Easter Brunch. There was very little food for choice- an omelet bar and cheese potatoes , lamb, and carved beef. Each station that was staffed was well managed. The other stations looked empty like the stuff had been picked over.
We felt it was so skimpy for an Easter brunch. We decided not to go to the country club but to try a nice new restaurant. Wow, we were wrong! The whole thing was terrible and ruined our Easter! We went home and ate out of the refrain because we were still hungry! The only nice thing was our server - she was very kind and attentative. I do not recommend Grille at all.
